New England fanciers are first in the show ring this week with today’s Naugatuck Valley Kennel Club show in West Springfield MA. Dr Joan Ioia took the day one final. The seven dogs that made it all the way through to the week’s first final were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Doc's Greyborn North Star Of Acadia, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless, the Great Dane, GCH CH Sweet's Firenrain V Saravilla BN RN CGC, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Goodtime Charlie, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power, the Coton de Tulear GCH Mi-Toi's Burberry At Just Incredible, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical’s My Turn.

The two taking the top awards were the Whippet, Brazen with the BIS and the Skye Terrier, Charlie. Brazen is the country’s Number One Hound with nine BIS and 33 Hound Groups.
